Gender
Dorothy Allison is an author who express her point of view in gender saying, "Class, race, sexuality, gender and all categories by which we categorize and dismiss each other need to be excavated from the inside." This means people should stop judging other people for the type of gender they are. I agree with the fact that is stated in the quote, because every person is different in their own being. I believe people should not be judged based on class, race, or sexuality; people should not be categorize. Every person should be treated equally. This can be clearly seen in The Queen Of the Big Time by Adriana Trigiani, because the wealthy and poor people are treated the same even if they have different life styles. In the book of the Queen Of the Big Time it expresses three major points that relate to gender which are the ladies have to get married referring to my book Assunta is engaged to Alessandro without knowing each other just by pictures that they sent each other, ladies growing up or living in a farm have different responsibilities based on their works or jobs, ladies have different lifestyles than man.
good opening sentences Valeria, sentences are clear and you correctly underline the tittle of your book name. however, you shouldn't write sentences in first persons ,because you just can write in first person when you are talking about you. But anyways, your thesis statement is really good. My suggestion would be make sure you don't use first person in your next piece of written . Great start Valeria! Paula 7th
